Summary:
The work of a Maintenance Mechanic with Bimbo Bakeries USA is performed in a baking operations facility involved primarily in the manufacturing of bread and associated dough products. The specific department in which the duties are performed is the Engineering department.
The heaviest weights to be lifted by the maintenance mechanic will be gearboxes and motors weighing in the range of 80-100 lbs., when they cannot be handled on an assisted basis due to room constraints. However, for the most part, the worker will use assistive devices or a co-worker for lifts over 50 lbs. The heaviest item encountered was a EuroDrive weighing 96.9 lbs. that might be lifted on an unassisted basis. Lifts above the level of the shoulder will not exceed 50 lbs.
Check clipboard for work assignments, obtains necessary tools and supplies, and proceeds to perform either preventative maintenance or unscheduled repairs.
Conducts pre-flight checkout of operating systems prior to start-up of line.
Checks all levels in tanks/silos. Enters tank only when empty. Verifies operating status on augers
Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring.
Position Requirements
Minimum of 3 years experience with industrial electrical systems
Minimum of 3 years experience with hydraulics
Minimum of 3 years experience with pneumatics
General:
