Position
Summary:
The Receiving Clerk receives, stores and distributes baking ingredients and other supplies within the facility.
Responsibilities:
Arrives at work on before scheduled start time to properly review and perform all duties for the day as assigned by Plant Management.
Provides computer data input with web based COA program.
Conduct routine cleaning of Warehouse & adjacent areas (silos, compactor, and Bakery Feeds areas) as dictated by Master Cleaning Schedule or a Plant Management direction.
Properly wears personal protective equipment as required and provided by the company. Wears appropriate uniform/clothing in accordance with GMP's/company standards.
Distributes ingredients and packaging from receiving to production areas to storage or other designated areas by hand, forklift or pallet jack.
Sorts and places baking ingredients on shelves or in bins according to product codes.
Fills work orders from stock items and distributes items to the assembly line.
May restock and/or order ingredients according to production demand.
Communicates/coordinates with other departments to ensure optimum, efficient utilization of ingredients and packaging.
Practices and complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety and other work rules; includes compliance with all regulatory mandates, such as lockout/tag out, electrical safety, confined spaces, forklift safety.
Performs other duties as assigned, including assisting other members of the bakery team where needed (breakdowns, emergencies, etc.)
Take appropriate action to ensure the integrity and sustained certification of the SQF system.
Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring.
Responsible for following and enforcing procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plan and the Food Quality Plan and any other programs that support the SQF system and other 3rdparty audits.
Position Requirements
Be able to lift over 50 lbs.
Be able to work in an un-airconditioned environment.
Be able to work in a fast paced environment.
High school diploma or GED required.
Computer skills and knowledge of basic math skills.
Ability to comprehend label instructions, MSDS and other safety warnings and chemical mixing formulations.
Valid drivers license
Knowledge of basic sanitation principles in a food processing facility, including knowledge of FDA, USDA, EPA is preferred
