East Mississippi Correctional Facility is a prison for men located Lauderdale County, Mississippi, near Meridian. It is operated by the MTC on behalf of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC). East Mississippi is the state's main special needs facility, housing prisoners with mental health issues. EMCF has the capability to serve 1500 inmates. The facility offers several programs from GED and Adult Basic Education to computer training.
The prison opened in April 1999 and operated by MTC since July 19, 2012. Essential Functions
Position
Summary: Reports to the Director of Mental Health. Responsible for planning and implementing professional psychological service programs of a non-medical natureto inmates in the facility in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) directives.

Essential Functions: 1. Develope and implement treatment and therapeutic programs for the assigned inmates.
2. Assume independant clinical responsibility for all inmates including the application of crisis intervention
techniques to include suicide prevention, recognizing abnormal behavior, and taking appropriate acion
to prevent or diffuse potentially disruptive situations.
3. Conduct diagnosis and evaluation test for inmates to determine needs, establish goals and develope plans;
make referrals to contract professionals for assesment and treatment of inmates.
4. Provide direct case work services and individual and group counselingto inmates.
5. Prepare progress reports; provide recommendations reguarding discharge plans; make case presentations;
and assist administrative and medical staff in development of statistical reports on assigned inmates.
6. Maintain and monitor confidentiality of inmate and their files; audit files to determine that all services provided
are documented; review status of inmates to determine that all treatment and therapeutic programs are
completed.
7. Screen request for non-medical records and appropriately approved or disapproved responses following
policy and procedures.
8. Attend scheduled staff meetings; promote communication and the proper flow of relevant information
between administration, staff, and inmates.
9. Attend seminars, workshops, conferences, and so forth, as required.
10. Maintain current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification; perform CPR in emergencies.
11. Perforn other duties as assigned within his.er capabilities as determined by management.
12. Promote the developement of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening
when inappropriate behaviors are observed.
13. Maintain accountability of inmates and property; adhere to safety practices.
14. It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his.er capabilities
as determined by management.
Education and Experience
Mater's degree in counseling, pshychology, social work or related field required and current licensure in the state of Mississippi. Three (3) years prior work experience preferred. Valid Drivers license in the state of Mississippi with an acceptable driving record; unless waived by management.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
