Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician
JOB SUMMARYPrecisely and accurately performs and evaluates a variety of technical procedures.
Utilizes accepted quality control techniques by manual, semi-automated, or automated methodologies and equipment.
Performs phlebotomy procedures and assists in other laboratory activities as requested.
The Medical Technologist is competent in providing direct care to patients within the following age brackets; neonate, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas:
Education/Regulatory Requirements:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology.
American Society of Clinical Pathologist certification preferred or eligible.
Skills:
Moderate to advanced computer and data entry skills.
Operates equipment correctly and safely.
Recommended Skills Automation Biology Chemistry Data Entry Geriatrics Health Technology Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
