AIRFIELD MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Applying airfield laws, regulations, requirements and practices/procedures to assist with airfield inspections of runway conditions, facilities, and construction projects to identify airfield problems, develop solutions, and coordinate corrective actions with personnel; 2) Applying engineering and contractual principles and procedures pertaining to airfield pavement to monitor construction, repairs, and operations on the airfield and ensure safe and secure environment; and 3) Applying performance characteristics, capabilities, and limitations of various types of aircraft to make rapid, safe, and viable decisions when emergency and/or unusual runway conditions exist.
